What the Effect Does:
Cue the Magic transforms a spectator into the star magician of the show. A volunteer is invited on stage and instructed to read aloud from a large stack of hilarious cue cards provided by the performer. A second audience member is called up and asked to freely name any playing card—there is absolutely no force. As the first spectator continues reading through the comedy script, the final cue card reveals a sealed envelope attached to it. When opened, it reveals a jumbo duplicate of the exact, freely named card inside!
Why Add It to Your Repertoire:
Created by genius magic inventor Angelo Carbone and featured on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, this is one of the most reliable and laughter-packed audience-participation stage routines in modern magic. It completely epitomizes the "packs flat, plays massive" concept, making it an essential addition for corporate events, birthday parties, school shows, and parlor performances. Because the routine relies on clever staging and ingeniously designed props rather than complex sleight of hand, you can focus entirely on directing the comedy and letting the spectator take the spotlight while you deliver a genuinely mind-blowing climax.
