Vintage and beautiful silk dyeing effect by Duke Stern who  was a manager and convention rep at Abbott’s Magic. This effect will fill up a stage with color.

Includes original gimmick, instructions and huge 24 ft by 11” streamer (this thing is monstrous). I’ve added in five newer silks, as they are called for in the routine, but were not included.

Effect: The magician invites two spectators to assist one standing on each side of the magician. A silk hanky is pulled from a paper tube and is handed to the first spectator, which causes a second hanky to pop into view. This continues until five hankies are shown. Magician, then pushes the hankies back into the paper tube and  has one spectator hold on to one end, and the other spectator the other end. As they pull on their two ends, the five handkerchiefs have now become a large 24 foot long streamer. The paper tube is unrolled and has the name of the event, organization or etc. written inside the paper.
