Check-Er-X by U.F. Grant – Vintage Wooden Block & Rope Penetration

$35.00

Description

Condition: Good - some normal wear from use, includes original instructions & cord/rope

Check-Er-X (invented by master magic innovator U.F. Grant) is a classic mechanical rope and block penetration trick. Multiple large, colorful wooden checkers (or square blocks) with center holes are threaded onto a heavy rope, and the ends of the cord are tied or held securely by two audience members. Despite the blocks being visibly trapped and locked on the rope, the performer magically penetrates and releases selected wooden checkers off the cord one by one—or all at once—without untying the knots or cutting the rope!

Why Add It to Your Repertoire:

U.F. Grant is legendary in magic history for creating genius, direct, "packs flat, plays big" routines that deliver maximum visual impact with foolproof operation. Check-Er-X relies on a brilliant mechanical principle that allows spectators to examine the components before and after the routine. Because it involves zero complex sleight of hand and allows for high-energy audience participation, it has stood the test of time as a staple for children's shows, platform performers, and parlor magicians, as well as a prized vintage piece for U.F. Grant apparatus collectors.
