The Hollingsworth Bill in Lemon is a classic, high-impact mentalism and parlor effect released to U.F. Grant. A spectator borrows a bill, notes its serial number, and marks it for positive identification. The bill is folded and vanished—wrapped inside a handkerchief or palm-vanished. The performer introduces a piece of fruit, such as a lemon or orange, and cuts it open using a specialized wooden-handled paring knife. Inside the center of the unbroken fruit, the spectator’s actual marked bill is discovered and verified by serial number.
Why Add It to Your Repertoire:
The "Bill in Lemon" is universally acclaimed as one of the most powerful, memorable close-up and parlor effects in magic. This vintage outfit relies on the specialized Hollingsworth gimmicked knife, featuring a hidden slit mechanism engineered directly into the wooden handle that seamlessly loads and holds the bill during the slicing motion. Because the secret loading is integrated straight into the slicing action of the knife, it eliminates awkward palming or complex sleight of hand. Complete with the original vintage yellow instruction manuscript bearing U.F. Grant's release credit, this is an outstanding piece for active workers and vintage U.F. Grant apparatus collectors.
