Originally created in 1970 for a Las Vegas casino, Jerry’s Nugget Playing Cards became legendary among magicians and cardists for their unique feel. After selling out from the casino gift shop in 1999, original decks spiked in value to hundreds of dollars, leading to widespread counterfeits.
To make authentic versions accessible again, card expert Lee Asher partnered with the Expert Playing Card Company (EPCC) to secure official licensing rights. Launched via a massive Kickstarter campaign in 2019, EPCC teamed up with the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) to print official reproductions. Alongside standard decks, they introduced the Jerry’s Nugget Gaff Deck, featuring 56 specially designed trick/gimmick cards (such as double-backers, split-faces, and misprinted visuals) printed on USPCC’s thin-crushed premium stock to seamlessly pair with Modern Feel Jerry's Nugget decks.
