The Classic Effect
The performer displays an empty aluminum pan to the audience. To demonstrate the process, the magician drops in flash paper or kindling ingredients (such as breaking an egg, adding confetti, or pouring liquid), setting the pan ablaze.
The cover is instantly placed onto the pan to snuff out the flames. Upon removing the lid moments later, the fire has vanished—replaced by a live dove, small rabbit, heaps of candy, silk streamers, or a complete birthday cake filling the entire pan!
