What the Effect Does:
My Piece of Art is a visual, highly interactive magic effect where drawing comes to life. The magician presents a small drawing pad with a blank sketch, noting that every true masterpiece requires the artist’s signature. A spectator signs the drawing sheet to make it unique. After a card is selected from a standard deck, the performer simply turns or turns through the pad, causing the illustration on the signed sheet to instantly transform into a clear, detailed drawing of the selected card. The signed, custom-printed paper is then immediately torn out and given to the spectator as an unforgettable souvenir.
Why Add It to Your Repertoire:
Created by Marcel and released under FISM World Champion Henry Evans' line, this trick bridges the gap between close-up magic and visual art. It provides a powerful personal touch because the spectator signs the page before the magic happens, ruling out sleight-of-hand tricks or sneaky swaps. It requires very little setup, is incredibly visual, and leaves your audience member with a physical souvenir containing both their own signature and the magical reveal. Whether you perform close-up, walk-around, or table-hopping magic, it is an easy-to-do crowd-pleaser that guarantees a memorable reaction every single time.
