Slydini’s Torn and Restored Newspaper – Vintage Self-Contained Paper Tear- Ken Allen Magic

$18.99

Description

Condition: very good. Slight tear on instructions pages. Newspapers are intact, which is rare on these.

Slydini’s Torn and Restored Newspaper (attributed in this classic magic dealer release to master misdirection legend Tony Slydini) is a fast, visual newspaper tear routine designed to be performed completely surrounded. A single sheet of newspaper is shown on both sides, then torn repeatedly in half until the pieces are reduced to a small packet about 3" x 4". The spectators see all the individual torn pieces clearly. In a flash, the pieces instantly pop open, fully restored to a complete sheet of newspaper that is immediately shown front and back.

Why Add It to Your Repertoire:

Marketed as a "self-contained, no sleights, easy to do" routine, this method relies on an ingenious built-in pocket/folding construction that eliminates the need for difficult body sleights, body hooks, or external gimmicks. It offers an extremely clean, visual restoration that resets easily and can be performed in close-up, parlor, or stage environments—even with spectators watching from all angles. Complete with the original vintage printed yellow instruction manuscript, prepared sample newspaper section, and the original illustrated paper envelope featuring the iconic $2.00 price mark, this outfit is a great collectible piece of mid-century magic apparatus history.
