Histed) applied to double hinged plaques. The performer tells a humorous barroom story about two friends arguing over seeing a red spider in a green web versus a green spider in a red web, with the spiders constantly changing facing directions, crawling around, and scampering across the board as the plaque is revolved. After building up the confusion, the plaque is folded open around the performer's back to reveal a surprise kicker climax: it wasn't a red or green spider at all—it was just a Pink Elephant ("Baby Jumbo")!

Why Add It to Your Repertoire:

Unlike standard static optical boards, Scampering Spiders features a clever double-hinged plaque design that allows for seamless position changes and a complete surprise transformation. It can be performed entirely in the hands away from tables, making it a versatile choice for MCs, parlor workers, and comedy performers looking for a fun "character/drunk" story routine. Complete with the Supreme Magic Company manuscript, it provides both the mechanical handling and a fully developed, performance-tested comedy patter outline.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0675/7751/1995/files/1F716382-2F55-4E99-B4D1-E6781EE147F7.jpg?v=1792611501
