The Cutting Edge (T-191) is a classic, highly collectible close-up coin magic illusion released by the world-renowned Japanese magic company Tenyo in 1999.
The Effect
1. The Slice: A borrowed coin (such as a quarter) is pushed against the blade of a miniature sword or letter opener inside a compact case.
2. The Split: The coin is instantly cut in two. Spectators can clearly view the two separate coin halves from multiple angles as they fall to the bottom of the case.
3. The Restoration: The performer lifts the severed pieces out of the case, instantly restoring them back into a single, completely intact coin.
