Monte Plus (routined by famous Welsh magic legend Trevor Lewis and published by Excelsior!! Productions) is a commercial, comedy-driven jumbo card Monte routine designed for stage, parlor, and cabaret performance. The performer displays a set of jumbo cards—typically spot cards and a target "money card" such as the Queen of Hearts. The performer leads the audience through a classic Three-Card Monte game with clear, humorous rules. Despite the slow, deliberate movement and extreme visual clarity of the jumbo cards, the spectator is repeatedly fooled as the target card continuously vanishes, changes places, or turns into a spot card.
Trevor Lewis was renowned in the international magic community for crafting practical, highly commercial parlor and stand-up routines that maximize comedy and audience engagement. Printed on heavy, oversized jumbo cardstock, Monte Plus provides outstanding visual visibility even in larger venues. Complete with the original printed Excelsior!! Productions instruction booklet featuring Trevor Lewis's signature caricature, routine booklet, and outer envelope, this is a fantastic piece for working performers and collectors of classic 20th-century British/American magic publications.
