Hippity-Hop Rabbits is one of the all-time legendary comedy magic effects for family audiences. Two large wooden cut-out rabbits—one black and one white—are displayed on stand bases. After being covered with decorated covers, the two rabbits magically switch places back and forth repeatedly. The audience quickly gets suspicious and yells out that the performer is simply turning the rabbits around (since they assume the rabbits are black on one side and white on the other). After building up maximum interaction and laughter, the performer turns the figures around to reveal a surprise kicker ending: the backs are entirely different colors (typically bright yellow and red or patterned wood graphics)!
