Magic of Gerald Kosky (authored by Gerald Kosky and published by Lloyd E. Jones’s Magic Limited in Oakland, California) is a comprehensive hardcover collection of close-up, mentalism, card, coin, and mental magic routines created by West Coast magic figure Gerald Kosky. The volume compiles dozens of Kosky’s signature effects, including his famous Kosky Switch, mental predictions, coin transpositions, and subtle card locations designed for direct, commercial performance.
Gerald Kosky was a prominent figure in Southern California magic circles (including SAM Assembly 22 and the Magic Castle community), celebrated for his ingenious mentalism subtleties and utility moves. Published by Lloyd E. Jones—one of the premier West Coast magic collectors and publishers of the mid-20th century—this volume is a classic reference for mentalists, card workers, and collectors of regional American magic literature. Featuring its original gold/tan photo dust jacket depicting Kosky with a magic wand, this hardbound volume holds strong nostalgic and practical value.
