The Sand Frame (manufactured by Owen Magic Supreme, Alhambra, California) is a legendary mechanical visual appearance and vanish apparatus. The performer presents an empty picture frame behind glass. The frame is covered momentarily with a silk or cloth. Under the magician's command, a chosen playing card, written billet, spirit message, or photograph instantly appears inside the sealed frame! Alternatively, an item placed visibly inside the frame can be made to disappear completely, leaving behind an empty display.
