Six Modern Levitations (authored by prolific magic creator U.F. Grant and published through Grant / MAK Magic) is a classic DIY illusion manuscript. Designed with the working performer and hobbyist builder in mind, the booklet details six practical, inexpensive methods for building and performing levitation illusions without needing thousands of dollars in commercial stage mechanics. The manuscript covers:
Grant's Miracle Suspension: A standing assistant floats horizontally in front of a screen.
Surrounded Table Levitation: A kitchen table floats in the center of a room with a spectator sitting cross-legged on top.
Improved Super Levitation: Allows the performer to step away while the assistant remains suspended.
Parlor Asrah Levitation: A close-up or parlor-friendly floating illusion.
The "Best Yet" Levitations (Versions 1 & 2): Practical board-and-chair suspension methods using simple backdrops or hidden supports.
